I was unable to regain control or stop the motorcycle before colliding with another motorcycle traveling nearby. The collision resulted in injuries, including cuts and abrasions. Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, and I was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for evaluation.  I am concerned about a possible throttle system malfunction, including a sticking throttle, binding throttle cable, or improper throttle return.  The motorcycle’s throttle, handlebars, and related controls are factory-original, with no aftermarket modifications. I cannot confirm whether the throttle failed to return to its closed position or whether there were previous warning signs. The motorcycle has not yet undergone a mechanical inspection, and the suspected issue has not been reproduced or evaluated by a dealership or the manufacturer.  This incident created a serious safety hazard because the motorcycle appeared to continue delivering engine power while I was attempting to brake, resulting in a collision and injuries requiring emergency medical treatment. The motorcycle was pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway, and the contact became aware that the fuel level was lower than before. In addition, the contact noticed an abnormal odor. The motorcycle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a detached fuel line connector. The contact was not informed of the necessary repairs needed to fix the motorcycle. The contact was informed that the repair was covered under warranty.  The motorcycle was not repaired. The contact sustained a burn on the lower right calf from the fuel leak. The contact received medical attention from a primary care physician. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed.
