## Abstract

This final rule amends eligibility and certification requirements for aircraft dispatchers. The existing regulations prescribing these requirements do not reflect the significant technological advances that have occurred in the aviation industry and the enhancements in training and instructional methods that have affected all aircraft dispatchers. This final rule consolidates and clarifies eligibility, knowledge, experience, and skill requirements for aircraft dispatchers, enhances the technical capabilities of aircraft dispatchers, and increases the level of professionalism among aircraft dispatchers.
