## Abstract

We are updating our rules on the need for and use of employer identification numbers and on processing reports of wages provided annually by employers to the Social Security Administration (SSA). In addition, we are adding to our rules the procedures we have for maintaining and providing information we receive from employers on deferred vested pension benefits.
