## Abstract

This interim rule establishes the requirements related to management and operation of the Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program. The purpose of the Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Program is to enable persons with disabilities to live with dignity and independence within their communities by expanding the supply of supportive housing that is designed to accommodate the special needs of such persons and provides supportive services that address the individual health, mental health, and other needs of such persons. Included in a companion interim rule in today's Federal Register for the management and operation of projects funded by the Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program are amendments which add both Supportive Housing programs to the list of projects covered by the pet ownership requirements, and which apply the wage and claim consent form requirements to both programs.
