The Department of Housing and Urban Development, with the concurrence of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), is issuing a final rule establishing uniform standards of ethical conduct for employees of the Department to supplement the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch issued by OGE. The final rule is a necessary supplement to the executive branch-wide Standards because it addresses ethical issues unique to the Department. The final rule will become effective 30 days after the date of publication, and will establish regulations prohibiting certain financial interests and restricting certain outside employment.
