Abstract

This rule amends FHA multifamily processing regulations to: increase processing/commitment fees; recognize a feasibility processing stage for substantial rehabilitation projects and impose a fee for this processing; require the project sponsor to request a preapplication conference; and eliminate the conditional commitment processing stage for all but Section 242 hospital mortgages, and Section 223(f) acquisition/refinancing mortgages.
