## Abstract

The Secretary amends the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program regulations, 34 CFR Part 682, and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program regulations, 34 CFR Part 685, to modify requirements in these programs. These modifications eliminate certain differences in the requirements of the FFEL and Direct Loan programs and reduce burden.
