Abstract
This rule implements section 814A of the Fair Housing Act, which encourages voluntary compliance by lenders with the Fair Housing Act (FHAct) through lender-initiated self-tests of lenders' residential real estate-related lending transactions and, where appropriate, corrective action designed to remedy any possible violations of the FHAct revealed by such tests. This rule also makes technical amendments to the fair housing complaint processing regulations.
