## Abstract

This final rule revises and updates HUD's regulation implementing section 810(f) of the federal Fair Housing Act. This regulation establishes the criteria for certification of state and local fair housing laws that are substantially equivalent to the federal Fair Housing Act, as well as for decertification of state and local fair housing laws that are deemed no longer substantially equivalent. This final rule also revises the funding criteria for agencies participating in the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP).
