Violation: The Respondent's oil field tank battery facility was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the U.S. The violation was identified by the EPA on April 30, 2008, which an EPA inspector observed the facility to have discharged oil field brine/produced water to a tributary of Hominy Creek.
Relief: An Administrative Order for compliance (AO) is being issued to the Respondent. The AO is requiring the Respondent to cease and desist the discharge of pollutants from the facility; remove the pollutant from the impacted water body; remove the brine from the flow path in between the facility and the discharge point of entry; and submit written certification that the previously mentioned tasks have been completed.
