This Order requires Republic to begin design and implementation of up to $6.7 milion of negotiated remedial measures to properly close this 440 acre landfill. Remedial measures required include final cover design work, surface water control design and construction work, landfill gas control design work, and groundwater monitoring and well installation. The remainder of the $36 million of negotiated remedial measures will be implemented under a subsequent enforcement action.
