Summary

VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's tank battery and disposal well were a point source of discharge of pollutants, specifically oil field brine, to the receiving waters of a tributary to Salt Creek, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 15 North, Range 14 East, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The discharge of brine was documented during a June 3, 2004, inspection. RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should immediately cease the discharge of pollutants from the facility. The Order also requires the Respondent to remove the drain pie at the tank battery and remediate the salt contaminated soil at the battery and well. Additionally, the Order recommends the Respondent install an automatically activated sump pump. A follow-up inspection scheduled 30 days after the effective date of the Order will determine the extent of compliance with the Order. Technical Contact: Casey Luckett Snyder 281-983-2112
