Summary

On November 16, 2002, this facility had a 1,227 pound release of sodium hypochlorite. Sodium hypochlorite is a hazardous subsatance under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act with a repoertable quantity of 100 pounds. They failed to immediatly notify the National Response Center, the State Emergency Response Commission, and the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Thay also failed to as soon as practible after the release, submit the written follow-up report to the SERC and the LEPC.
