Summary

Berexco Inc CWA-06-2005-1783 OKU000224 VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's flow line failure was a point source of discharge of pollutants, specifically oil field brine, to the receiving waters of a tributary of the cimarron River, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 18 North, Range 7 East, Creek County, Oklahoma. The discharge of brine was documented during a November 16, 2004 inspection. RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should cease all discharges of pollutants, flush and drain an impacted pond, analyze pond sediments for elevated chlorides and perform the necessary remediation/excavation, submit a report detailing Respondents clean up assessment and response protocol, and implement a flow line inspection program to prevent the recurrence of a flow line failure. A follow-up inspection will determine the extent of compliance with the Order. Casey Luckett Snyder 3-2112
