On October 15, 2008, EPA received a demoltion notification from Ace Environmental Corporation via U.S. Mail. The notification was dated October 14, 2008 and the demolition start date was October 13, 2008. The notification was not given to EPA at least 10 working days before the asbestos stripping or removal work or any other activity began, which is in violation of the Asbestos NESHAP. The Compliance Order ensures that Ace Environmental Corporation takes immediate steps to conduct business in full compliance with the Asbestos NESHAP.
