On October 12, 2005, Celanese Corporation (Celanese) submitted a self-disclosure notice for their facility in Meredosia, Illinois. During an internal audit, Celanese discovered possible violations of their Title V permit, including requirements to recheck CFC leaks after 30 days. On February 13, 2009, EPA responded to the self-disclosure by stating that EPA does not intend to pursue additional actions to resolve the self-disclosed violations at this time.
