EPA issued a RCRA 3013 Unilateral Administrative Order to the United States Army for its Engineer Proving Ground facility located in Fairfax County, Virginia. The Army has identified forty-four Solid Waste Management Units on its Facility, including underground waste tanks, dumps, drum storage areas, a hydrocarbon spill area, seven ranges and a waste ordnance pit, among others. The Order requires the Army to conduct monitoring, testing, analysis and reporting, in the context of a RCRA Facility Investigation to determine the nature and extent of the hazard at the Facility .
