Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing exploration and production activies in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent spilled about 156 barrels of non aqueous based drilling fluid from their mud pit out there NPDES outfall, in violation of Part I.B.1.(a) of their permit. Respondent is being ordered to take steps to keep this from happening again.
