Respondent is an oil and gas operator performing extraction and production activities in the Gulf of Mexico. Respondent was operating the Transocean Deepwater Millennium platform when they had a 2 barrel spill of synthetic based mud due to a gasket failure during a blowout preventer test. EPA is Ordering respondent to take steps to prevent this from happening again.
