VIOLATIONS: The Respondents oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of a tributary of the Eagle Creek, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 19 North, Range 5 East, Payne County, Oklahoma. An April 4, 2006 EPA inspection documented the discharge of brine from the facility.
RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants; take the necessary steps to prevent future discharges; and to neutralize the brine contaminated area north of the facility by applying soil amendments to neutralize the sodium chloride.
