Midway Iron & Metal is a mid-size scrapyard in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They had an agreement with a third party to remove the refrigerant before crushing the appliances, but they did not have any formal contracts. Since our involvement, Midway has gotten formal contracts with its third-party contractors who perform the refrigerant removal for Midway on site. Midway has also gotten contracts with its longterm suppliers agreeing the remove the refrigerant properly before supplying the appliances to Midway.
