Albemarle acquired Sorbent Technologies, a one-facility Ohio-based corporation which manufactures halogenated activated carbon used in mercury control for coal-fired pilot plants. Albemarle self-disclosed EPCRA and CAA violations identified at the Sorbent facility pursuant to EPA's Interim Approach to Applying the Audit Policy to New Owners. This Notice of Determination resolves the disclosed violations.
