Violation: The Respondent's facility was a point source discharge of a pollutant to a waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on September 15, 2009, where a violation to the CWA was observed. The facility discharged oil field brine from a flow line to a tributary of the Arkansas River.
Relief: An Administrative Order was issued requring the following: cease all dicharges from the facility; remove all the brine from the flow path located in-between the facility and the point of entry; remove all the brine from the impacted water body; and to submit written certification.
