This case addresses violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act's Underground Injection Control regulations and Class II permit provisions by Dugan Production Corp. EPA finalized an administrative enforcement action against Dugan Production Corporation, an oil and gas operator on the Navajo Nation, for violations of their Class II UIC permit. Dugan agreed to pay a penalty of $108,500 to resolve violations which included drilling without advance notice, failure to conduct several well and formation tests, and injection into an underground source of drinking water.
