U.S. EPA Region 5 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order(CAFO) under the Clean Air Act in the matter of Dawn Food Products, Inc. On April 2, 2009 , EPA issued a Notice of Violation (NOV) to Dawn Food Products, Inc. for violating the Illinois State Implementation Plan, by allegedly failing to obtain a construction and operating permit. Pursuant to the CAFO, Dawn Food Products Inc. will pay a penalty of $102,235. Dawn has obtained a lifetime operating permit from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
