An inspection conducted by the EPA on July 12, 2006 at a tank battery operated by Delta Petroleum, Inc. cited a violation of the Clean Water Act. The violation was the unauthorized discharge of oil field brine to a tributary of Duck Creek which is waters of the US . The facility is located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 24, Township 16 North, Range 13 East, Okmulgee County, OK.
A Ceast and Desist Administrative Order is being issued to the Respondent to immediately cease all discharges of pollutants and to remove the brine from the impacted water body.
