On May 11, 2011, Region I settled an expedited action against Gallo Construction (Gallo) over Clean Water Act stormwater violations at a construction site in Auburn, Massachusetts. Gallo was fined for failing to implement in a timely manner controls to remove sediment from stormwater at the construction site. The stormwater controls were eventually implemented by Gallo before EPAÂs inspection at the site. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $1,250.
