On December 27, 2010, EPA filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital (USVA - Middleton) alleging that USVA-Middleton failed to comply with storage time limits and container labeling and dating conditions for a RCRA permit exemption. Respondent also failed to comply with hazardous waste determination requirements of RCRA. USVA-Middleton has agreed to pay a $48,000 penalty.
