On May 11, 2011, Region 10 filed a combined Expedited Settlement Agreement, which both initiated and concluded an administrative action against the Anacortes Water Treatment Plant for violations of Clean Air Act 112(r) risk management program requirements at their facility. The company paid a penalty of $4,500. The settlement resolves Region 10Âs claim that the Anacortes Water Treatment Plant failed to comply with several risk management program requirements involving the use of chlorine. The violations have since been corrected.
