On April 21, 2011, Region I entered into an expedited settlement agreement with Curtiss Aero LLC of Danbury, Connecticut (Curtiss). Curtis violated the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations at 40 C.F.R. Part 112, promulgated under Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act by failing to have an adequate Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plan. Pursuant to the agreement, the company paid a $4,000 penalty.
