Respondent, George DeVries, doing business as DeVries Dairy, operated a dairy located in Dublin, Erath County, Texas. The facility is considered a Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation. Respondent violated the Clean Water act by failure to prevent an authorized discharge to waters of the State; failure to ensure all process-generated wastewater drains to an approved lagoon; and failure to maintain piping and equipment used in land application of wastewater. Alleged violations were identified during a December 8 and 9, 2010, inspection of the dairy.
