On September 22, 2011, Region 1 filed an administrative complaint against CedarÂs Mediterranean Foods, Inc. (CedarÂs) for alleged violations of Section 608 of the Clean Air Act (CAA), 42 U.S.C. § 7671g and the Stratospheric Ozone Protection regulations promulgated thereunder and found at 40 C.F.R. Part 82, Subpart F. CedarÂs is a manufacturer of Mediterranean cuisine in Ward Hill, Massachusetts. At this facility, CedarÂs operates a large industrial process refrigeration unit. The complaint alleges failures to repair refrigerant leaks and to conduct required leak repair verification tests.
