On July 20, 2011, Region I filed a consent agreement and final order settling claims for administrative civil penalties against Knight Oil, Inc. of Salisbury, Massachusetts for violations Section 311 of the Clean Water Act and the Oil Pollution Prevention Regulations at 40 C.F.R. Part 112. The settlement calls for the payment of $50,000 for the companyÂs failure to have spill prevention, control and countermeasure plans for two of its facilities.
