Region 5 filed a combined Complaint and Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) resolving an alleged violation against Respondent, Industrial Towel and Uniform, Incorporated (IT&U) at its facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin. IT&U is an industrial launderer that washes solvent and oil-contaminated rags and mats. The Region alleged that IT&U failed to make a hazardous waste determination on waste water filter press cake generated at the site. The CAFO requires the payment of a $30,000 civil penalty.
