EPA-Region 1 settled an administrative penalty action alleging violations of the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (“RRP Rule”), 40 C.F.R. Part 745, Subpart E, under TSCA. Respondent, DiGiorgi Roofing and Siding, Inc., (“DiGiorgi”) is a Connecticut-based roofing, siding, and residential remodeling contractor. On June 29, 2012, EPA filed an Administrative Complaint alleging 33 violations of the RRP Rule, including failures to provide pre-renovation education information in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 745.84(a)(1)) and failures to maintain records in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 745.86(a) & (b)(6). Under the settlement, DiGiorgi will pay a civil penalty of $23,600.
