On July 24, 2012, EPA issued two Administrative Orders (AOs) to Fairhaven Shipyard Companies, Inc. (Fairhaven Shipyard) of Fairhaven, Massachusetts. The AOs address violations found at Fairhaven ShipyardÂs two facilities (the South Yard and the North Yard). Specifically, the company was found to be in violation of the federal Clean Air Act National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (Surface Coating) found at 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart II and of Title V operating permit requirements.
