On February 27, 2012, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order to resolve TSCA-PCB violations at the Sanders Wood Products, Inc. (Sanders) facility in Liberal, Oregon. The alleged violations involved improper management of PCBs, including: storage of combustible materials within a PCB transformer enclosure; uncontrolled discharge of PCBs from a transformer; and failure to repair, replace, or contain leaking PCB transformers. Sanders also will pay a penalty of $108,400.
