On April 16, 2012, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order to initiate and simultaneously resolve an administrative action filed under Section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 with Kanto Corporation. EPA alleged that Kanto Corporation, a chemical manufacturer, failed to submit timely Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Forms (ÂForm RsÂ) for ammonia, hydrogen fluoride, and nitric acid for calendar year 2009. Kanto Corporation has agreed to pay a penalty of $58,200.
