On May 30, 2012, Region 1 filed a Clean Water Act Expedited Settlement Agreement under which the Town of Norton, MA, agreed to pay a $1,500 penalty for failing to submit and timely submit annual report(s) under the NPDES General MS4 Permit. Norton will also complete a rain barrel purchase and distribution supplemental environmental project valued at $5,625.
