Summary

The United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX (“EPA”), the San Carlos Apache Tribe (“Tribe”), and the San Carlos Apache Tribal Utility Authority (“Tribal Utility Authority”) voluntarily enter into this Administrative Order on Consent (“Consent Order” or “Order”) for the purpose of bringing ten of the public water systems owned and operated by the Tribe and Tribal Utility Authority into compliance with the requirements of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (“SDWA” or “the Act”), 42 U.S.C. 300f et seq., and its National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (“NPDWRs”) at 40 C.F.R. Part 141.
