EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to the Clean Water Act (CWA) to the City of Las Vegas located in Las Vegas, San Miguel County, New Mexico. The AO was issued in response to violations of failure to meet effluent limits for 1) Total Ammonia (30 and 7 Day, and Daily Maximum) and 2) Total Cadimum (30 Day and Daily Maximum). The AO requires the City of Las Vegas to certify compliance with permit effluent limitations for Total Ammonia and Total Cadimum. The City of Las Vegas must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the AO.
