On 6/20/2009, Kraton had knowledge of an airborne release of isoprene and 1,3-butadiene. Isoprene has an RQ of 100 lbs. 1,3-butadiene has an RQ of 10 lbs. The total amount of isoprene released was 6 times the RQ and the total amount of 1,3-butadiene released was 17 times the RQ. The NRC, SERC and LEPC weren't notified of the releases until more than 3 days after they occurred.
