This enforcement action was filed in response to violations discovered during an EPCRA 311/312 compliance inspection. EPA found that Attwood had lead-acid batteries at this facility which contained sulfuric acid. Attwood failed to file the appropriate Tier II forms for the sulfuric acid - which was more than 15 times the 500-lb. minimum threshold level for reporting.
