Summary

EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act to Triple M Salt Water Disposal, L.P. (Triple M), located in Greg County, Texas. The AO was issued for an unauthorized discharge of oil field brine and producted wastewater to a water of the U.S. The AO orders Triple M to 1) cease and desist all discharges of pollutants from the facility; 2) remove all brine from the flow path located between the facility and the identified tributary of Rabbit Creek; and 3) remove all brine from the tributary of Rabbit Creek. Triple M must respond to EPA within thirty (30) days of receipt of the AO.
