On July 25, 2013, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order that resolves an NPDES violation by The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC. On December 5, 2012, the company had a discharge of industrial stormwater without authorization under the Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity (MSGP). The Consent Agreement and Final Order requires Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC to pay an administrative penalty of $7,500.
