On September 11, 2013, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order that resolves an NPDES violation by J.R. Simplot Company. The company does not have an NPDES permit and normally land-applies the wastewater; however, on December 30, 2012, the company had an unauthorized discharge of wastewater to the Boise River. The company agreed to pay a penalty of $10,000.
