On November 7, 2013, EPA issued Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) to Calumet Shreveport Lubricants & Waxes, L.L.C, (Calumet), located near Shreveport, Louisiana. The CAFO was issued in response to violations determined by EPA from an inspection conducted at the facility between August 15 - 18, 2011, pursuant to the Risk Management Program (RMP), 40 C.F.R. ? 68, and Sections 112 (r)(1) and (7) of the CAA, 42 U.S.C. ?? 7412(r)(1) and (7). As part of this settlement, Calumet has come into compliance with the applicable RMP requirements including improvements to their emergency response plan, mechanical integrity, and training. Calumet will conduct a supplemental environmental project worth $248,000.00 to increase fence line monitoring of air pollutants. The CAFO requires Calumet to pay an administrative penalty of $326,000.00 within 30 days of the CAFO being filed.
