On September 23, 2013, EPA issued a Civil Penalty to Griffin Brothers Incorporated (Griffin) for selling misbranded pesticides. An EPA investigation found that Griffin distributed misbranded pesticides on 92 occasions between 2011 and 2012. The products Bowl-San (EPA Reg. No. 1839-104-1770) and Lobacten Sanitizer (EPA Reg. No. 1839-89-1770) were distributed with outdated labeling that did not bear the most up-to-date precautionary statements. The company agreed to pay a $36,160 penalty.
