In two letters dated May 6, 2011 and March 8, 2013, Kia Motors of America, Inc. disclosed to EPA that Kia had imported 133 model year 2012 Kia Sedona vehicles into the port of Hueneme, California on February 28, 2011 and March 4, 2011, prior to the issuace of the certificate of conformity for the model year 2012 Kia Sedona on March 17, 2011.
EPA determined that the dislcosure met the conditions of EPA's Incentives for Self-Policing: Discovery, Disclosure, Correction and Prevention of Violations, 65 Fed. Reg. 19,618 (Apr. 11, 2000) and took no further action on the matter.
