Summary

On April 3, 2014, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) against CPD Alaska, LLC that resolves violations of the Clean Water Act. Respondent owns and operates a bulk petroleum fuel terminal facility that discharges treated storm water from its tank farm and oil water separator to Cook Inlet in Anchorage, Alaska. Respondent incurred effluent limitation violations due to the unpermitted discharge of contaminated ground water into its permitted storm water system during the installation of a new impermeable liner in the tank farm’s secondary containment system. The Respondent agreed to pay a penalty of $147,000.
